The four-year project (2023-2027) 'OPTimising FORest management decisions for a low-carbon, climate resilient future in Europe' (OptFor-EU) aims to improve the resilience of forests in the EU and their capacity to mitigate climate change.

To bridge the gap between science and practice, a user-centered Decision Support System (DSS) is being applied in eight case studies. Sixteen partners from nine EU countries are collaborating on forest management practices, ecosystem services, and carbon sequestration to advance the project's goals.
