New student assistant

Marie Leitner will support us as our new student assistant.

Marie Leitner is taking over from Mirjam Mayr this summer semester, who is unfortunately already leaving us. We wish her all the best for her new position and Marie a good start!

Three questions for Marie:

What did you do before you started working for us?

I started my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Systems Sciences straight after my Matura and am now in my 6th semester. I spent the winter semester abroad at Maynooth University in Ireland.

What will your tasks be?

I will take care of the exams and support the courses. As the contact person for students, I will be responsible for all kinds of inquiries. Translating worksheets will also be part of my job.

What is your favorite place in Graz?

Definitely the botanical garden. I enjoy the dragonflies in summer, the water lilies and the many flowers. As the seasons change, you can always discover something new!

The International Conference on Environmental Psychology (ICEP) took place from June 15-18 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Dr. Leonie Fian took part in the conference and presented her last study as part of her doctorate.

KlimaLecture: What does the future of European climate policy look like?

Hermine Mitter gave a lecture at the eleventh Climate Lecture of the Junge Akademie on May 27, 2025. For the first time, active members of five young academies in Europe cooperated under the direction of Linus Mattauch to discuss the current state of European climate policy.
